On Thursday 14th June, a group of Longthorpe pupils were invited to attend the Children’s University Graduation at historic Peterborough Cathedral. The children wore traditional caps and gowns and completed a procession down the central aisle of the Cathedral.

Gill Hall, the Children’s University co-ordinator, welcomed everyone and gave a speech, followed by Fiona Onasanya, Peterborough’s MP. Next Gill read out the children’s name and award they were given, they walked up and received the award from Fiona where she spoke to them briefly, they received a round of applause before taking their seats.

Mrs Lawless was very proud of the children who took part in the graduation ceremony as they were excellent representatives of the school. Congratulations to everybody who graduated!
