On Friday 17th November 54 children from years 4 and 5 took part in the Primary Maths Challenge. The paper consisted of 25 problem solving questions, which the children had to work out using only pencil and paper. All the children did really well, with many gaining bronze certificates for 13 to 15 marks, silver certificates for 16 to 17 marks and gold certificates for 18 to 25 marks. Prarthana Rajkumar won Best in School with 21 out of a possible 25 marks. We now need to wait until next term to find out whether any of the children have made it through to the next round.
