PTA

Did you know.... Every parent or carer with a child at Longthorpe and every member of staff is automatically a member of the PTA.  From these parents, carer's and staff a committee is formed. The PTA meet to discuss and organise fundraising events such as: the Summer and Christmas fetes; school discos; sponsored events and non-uniform days to help support the school.

In 2023 the PTA have made donations for Christmas crackers for the Christmas meal, £500 towards new playground equipment, £600 contribution towards Year 6 leavers hoodies and event.

Membership of the PTA committee is an enjoyable and interesting way of becoming involved in the school and getting to know the staff, children and other parents/carers.

We are currently looking for new members. We truly appreciate the demands of work and home life but there are a number of ways you can help the School through the PTA, from an hour selling sweets and cakes at a school disco, selling sports day flags, to playing an active leadership role in the PTA.

Other ways you could get involved is asking your business / workplace to donate a prize(s) for a raffle or sponsoring an event?  Or do you have something you or a family member/ friend could donate or a service to provide?

If you would like to find out what the PTA does, why not attend their next meeting?  We generally meet every second Friday after school pickup, to find out when our next meeting is or If you would like to get in touch you can write to us at pta@lps.pkat.co.uk, or alternatively you can leave a message at the office.
