On Thursday 25th January, Year 6 went on an amazing trip to Peterborough Museum. We learnt about the different kinds of colour adaptation, met Mary Anning and learnt about her life, had a go at recognising fossils, looked at human and animal skulls (don’t worry they were replicas!) and sorted them using comparative anatomy and finally became paleoartists – deciding what some of the dinosaurs local to our area might have looked like. What a great introduction to our topic on evolution and adaptation!
