Lego League Success
For the past few months, a group of Year 5 students at Longthorpe Primary School have been taking part in the First Lego League competition. This involved working together to develop and present an initiative which will encourage a more efficient way to transport cargo around the world. It also involved building and programming a robot to interact with cargo prototypes.
The children worked extremely hard and were delighted to win the Core Values trophy. This trophy was awarded to the team who displayed extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit, knew they could accomplish more together than they could as individuals, and always showed each other and other teams respect.
Not only did they win this trophy, they also won the overall competition! This means that they will be attending the national finals in February. What an achievement! We’re going to nationals!
Go Team Longthorpe!
